looking out on the world

The window picture is one of my favourite pictures of mine. It isn’t too often that I enjoy my pictures to this extent, but this is one of the rare exceptions. It actually means something to me.
It is kind of how I perceive the world. The outside is colourful and surreal; all the excitement exists beyond the glass. Inside, however, is grey and monochromatic; a depressing world, where the paint is peeling and chipping, and generally deteriorating. I am not a participant in the world, just a viewer of it.
